Syed Ali

Syed Ali is the founder and CEO of EZO, where he leads the company’s strategy and operations with a focus on helping organizations improve asset-driven work. He brings over 25 years of technology experience spanning Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized businesses, and startups.

With a background in computer science and product development, Syed combines technical knowledge with executive leadership experience. Before founding EZO, he held leadership roles at Sun Microsystems and TRG. Under his direction, EZO has developed SaaS solutions for physical asset management, IT asset and service management, equipment maintenance, and rental operations.

Syed writes about asset intelligence, enterprise software, artificial intelligence, IT operations, technology investment, cybersecurity, organizational productivity, and mission-driven leadership. His perspectives draw on firsthand experience building technology products, scaling a global SaaS company, and working with organizations across asset-intensive industries.

Syed holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has previously taught at the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
