The last quarter was an exciting one at AssetSonar as we developed new features, integrations, and product enhancements. The newly launched Network Discovery feature helps you quickly identify, catalog, and provision the devices connected to your organization’s network into AssetSonar.
In some design updates, expedite incident management with the fully redesigned AssetSonar interfaces for Zendesk and Jira and easily set up personalized data access with the enhanced Custom Roles UI.

We are excited to introduce the Network Discovery feature that enables you to tie in your network infrastructure with the advanced ITAM and ITSM capability of AssetSonar. Track custody and location management of network devices, implement incident and change management on them and run detailed reports to identify key network performance metrics.
2. New and improved Zendesk integration design
Accelerate IT service delivery with the new and intuitive UI for the Zendesk integration. Get greater IT visibility, faster navigation, and powerful control with filtered search. Access key IT assets and implement custody assignments and service tasks on them directly from within the Zendesk workspace.
3. New and improved Jira integration design
Increase Agent productivity with the new and improved Jira integration design. Offer better IT service and speed up issue resolution with more contextualized asset information and enhanced search with improved filters.
4. Instant access to key business insights
Stay focused on what’s important by adding graphs and tables from Custom Reports to the Dashboard. Pin relevant data to your Dashboard and get an instant snapshot of ITAM metrics such as device encryption status and pending offboarding devices whenever you log into the application.
5. Simplified Custom Roles design
Easily configure Custom Roles and set up user permissions with the new simplified design for more granular access control. Information is laid out logically with options for basic and advanced permissions so Admins and Agents can easily and quickly navigate their way around settings.
6. Improve efficiency with quick check-ins
Expedite the IT deployment process by searching for Items and checking them in from a Quick Check-in button right from the top navigation bar in the application. Streamline operations, avoid delays, and easily take action on Items.
Augment the centralized ITAM database in your AssetSonar account by importing Apple devices from your Jamf On-Premise environment. The integration enables ITAM for enterprises that use Jamf On-Premise to meet stricter data security needs.

1. CMDB
With Configuration Management Database (CMDB), you’ll be able to track and visualize the logical relationships and operational links between Items and all other modules in AssetSonar. It’ll allow you to conduct root cause analyses in case of problems and assess impact with respect to changes and initiatives made in the IT environment of your company.
2. Software Normalization
The new Software Normalization will enable you to remove inconsistencies in software titles so that related software and their licensing details converge to a single publisher, product title, and version. Normalizing software data is essential to getting accurate, quality reports and ensures consistent software asset management across your organization.
