The AssetSonar team is committed to offering seamless and secure IT asset management to its valued customers. We’re kicking off the new year with some exciting features and product enhancements.

Our new Auto Checkouts feature makes IT deployment easier, faster, and more efficient than before. You can also manage Domain assets, run reports on Zendesk tickets, eliminate duplicate IT Assets, and streamline ITAM workflows with the recent feature enhancements.   1. Auto Checkouts

Facilitate seamless employee onboarding and ensure faster IT deployment, especially during periods of mass recruitment and IT procurement. Automate checkouts of IT Assets in bulk to new or existing users based on the data collected from AssetSonar’s user provisioning and device management integrations.

2. Domain management

The new Domain management module keeps an exhaustive account of details associated with your company’s internet assets such as website domains. Keep tabs on the payment schedule, and expiry and renewal dates of your domains. Monitor domain utilization patterns and adjust future renewal cost and frequency as needed.

3. Zendesk ticket reports

AssetSonar’s Zendesk integration enables you to run comprehensive Zendesk ticket reports for IT Assets and regular items that are linked to your Zendesk tickets. Gain detailed insights into your ITSM workflows, track ticket progress and mean ticket resolution time, and create customized reports based on your needs.

4. Duplicate management

Effectively eliminate IT Asset duplicates from your AssetSonar account with the Asset Provisioning module. Get more visibility into your IT landscape, discover any IT Asset duplicates in the system, and manage them in a safe manner whereby limited information is lost.

5. Graphs for Custom Reports

Make informed business decisions by getting an instant visual of your company’s IT landscape. Our new capability to create Graphs for Custom Reports enables you to plot, save, and share graphs of selected information from AssetSonar so you can run comparative analyses or view various trends across the organization.

6. Importing users to Custom Roles

Provision employees and their respective user roles from your company’s Active Directory into AssetSonar using our integrations with LDAP, Google Workspace User Directory, or Identity Providers that support the SCIM protocol. Enhance access control and enable customized user permission settings within AssetSonar based on your organization’s unique hierarchy.

7. Feature enhancements

We’re constantly developing our ITAM solution to offer you the best in the market. Our recent feature enhancements include aggregate functions in Custom Reports for detailed insights into your ITAM workflows, Software Spend per Member report for projecting and optimizing software expenses for each employee, and user and machine-based Software License Entitlements for monitoring software use.

What’s Next?

We also have some exciting features lined up for you in the upcoming quarter.

1. Zendesk Sunshine integration

Our upcoming integration with Zendesk Sunshine will put us at the forefront of two major trends in the enterprise CX space.

Firstly, by converging various digital connections to store all the relevant Customer and ITAM data on Zendesk Sunshine, it will allow you to build a continuous, multi-dimensional relationship with your customers rather than having one-and-done sales interactions. Secondly, by relying on the server-less infrastructure of AWS and Zendesk Sunshine, AssetSonar will become a more customizable application for integration with any current and emerging CX technologies.

2. Default assignees for each ServiceDesk alert

By allocating default Assignees to tickets that are created in response to specific ServiceDesk alerts, AssetSonar will help automate and accelerate ticket processing and issue resolution within your Zendesk or Jira service desk.
