Customers browse through the options on the vending machines to conveniently rent bear spray while Holly’s team gets complete visibility into every order. However, a lot is going on at the backend.
EZRentOut enables customers to rent out bear sprays after passing an age verification check conducted by the system through ID checks. With EZRentOut, Holly created custom fields that fill automatically when a customer acknowledges the 18+ age requirement. At the same time, a rental agreement connected to EZRentOut must be signed by the customer, which includes a legal liability waiver. All this information is reflected in our rental platform, which uses these requirements as a check to allow eligible customers to rent sprays.
Scanning the customer ID automatically fills in the customer profile, eliminating the need for manual data entry and the creation of profiles from scratch.
Now, Bear Spray Shack processes more than fifteen hundred rental orders every month automatically, saving them thousands of dollars in labor and software development costs—thanks to their trust in EZRentOut.

Holly says, “We track everything in EZRentOut—from daily revenue, sales, and orders due today to overdue rentals”. For example, they can easily know how many bear sprays are connected to active orders, which helps monitor revenue by location. “We look at that probably like 10 times a day at least,” as she saves time and effort required to calculate revenue manually.
