The EZRentOut team rolled out some exciting features in the past months. As part of our effort to help you improve functionality and streamline workflows, we added enhancements to our Custom Fields and Bundles features. We also added new features that enable you to easily charge delivery and pickup fees, add serial numbers to Order Line Items, and much more!
1. Custom Field enhancements
Link custom fields to different modules, such as Items, Locations, Customers, and more. For example, you can assign a default location or item owner to an asset to help users directly reference data in the system and link the right information together.
2. Delivery and Pickup Fees
Your rental business can now charge customers delivery and pickup fees for all orders, including web orders. Simply choose your desired method of fee calculation – fixed fee, the fee as a percentage of Order total, or a fee based on mileage – and you’re all set to go.
3. Bundles enhancements
You can now edit the items and prices in a Bundle after you add it to an Order. In addition, you can also view Bundle history to keep track of all the changes made.
4. Delivery and Pickup Time Slots
This feature enables you to set specific delivery and pickup dates and time slots that fit in with your schedule. Customers can then choose from these specified time options instead of requesting their own time slots which may not be convenient for you.
5. Add Serial Numbers to Order Line Items
In the Order Line Items table on the Order Details page, the first two columns – Item# and Name – are permanent, i.e. you cannot edit them. However, you can now add a new column before them for Serial Numbers, to easily show the number of items present in the Order.
