[How-to] Checkout to Locations in EZOfficeInventory  

The Checkout to Locations feature allows administrators to checkout items to particular locations instead of individual members. This functionality is useful when certain items are supposed to be placed at a certain venue for some time. During checkout, the custody of the item is set to “Location”. This feature also functions in Custody Transfers, Reservations, Mass Checkout/Reserve, Quick Checkout/Quick Item center, & Carts. 

Benefits of Checkout to Locations 

Checking out Items to Locations makes its easier to track assets at different venues for projects in the following ways: 

1. Streamlined Location-Based custody management

This feature eliminates the friction caused by assigning assets to individual members that primarily manage items by physical spaces, such as rooms or buildings. Industries like Hospitality (hotels, resorts), Education (universities), Facilities Management (offices, event venues), Construction & Warehousing and Logistics will benefit from the seamless ability to checkout assets directly to locations. 

2. More Efficient Location Custody Transfers

Allowing admins to transfer assets between locations without involving employees, simplifies and speeds up asset allocation across multiple locations. This enables faster and more efficient asset handling across various departments or buildings and reduces admin workload.
