In our latest release, we have addressed a much-requested feature that will allow administrators to reserve assets on behalf of other members (staff users).Â
In enterprise environments, this capability enables centralized control over asset allocation while maintaining operational consistency across teams, departments, and locations.
How does it work?
1. Create Reservation Request
The Request Reservation form now contains a new field, Reservation For. Here you can select a member for whom you want to create a reservation request.
This allows enterprise administrators to manage asset reservations across large teams, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and resource planning.

This reservation request will appear under the Reservations tab for administrators to review and take action on. Please note that this new feature is only accessible to Administrators. Staff users can still only request a reservation for themselves.
For enterprise operations, restricting this functionality to administrators helps enforce governance, reduce unauthorized allocations, and maintain accountability across distributed environments.
2. How do I track this in Reports?
You can see who created a reservation request under Created by in the Reservations report.
At an enterprise level, this level of traceability supports audit requirements, improves transparency, and enables better oversight of asset usage patterns.

A reservation request for HP Pro 4320 was created by Amy Stuart on behalf of Hurin Elrond. Stuart could then proceed to approve this reservation request.
This workflow is particularly valuable in enterprise scenarios where managers, coordinators, or IT teams frequently act on behalf of end users to streamline operations.
