Feature Release – October 2014


We just sent out special Halloween Candy in form of a feature release. It incorporates many popular requests from users like you. Here is a quick run-down:


ASSET STOCK: This is a new category in-line with Assets and Inventory, and is designed for items where individual tracking is considered unnecessary. For example, 100 chairs or 500 plates. If you don’t want to add 100 individual chairs as assets, you can add a single entry for chairs as Asset Stock. You’ll be checking out quantities to members e.g. 10 chairs to Mark Anderson, 30 chairs to Emily Rose.


: With the latest enhancements, assets and inventory search results are presented in the customizable list view. This significantly improves productivity by showing the relevant information that you’ve customized and also enable you to take mass actions on them.


CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN CART: Turnaround time on asset assignments is greatly reduced with the Cart functionality. But we’ve been busy trying to further improve this for high paced environments where time is critical. To this end, you can now verify if assets in the cart are available for reservation in a date range. All conflicts including reservations, checkouts and maintenance are flagged with a warning sign. Conflicting assets can be removed with a single click.


REQUEST STOCK: Replenishment requests for inventory can now be sent to vendors requesting fresh stock. Staff users can also request fresh stock from administrators. The requested quantity can be tracked for turnaround time and outstanding orders.

This release also includes some bug fixes. An update to iOS app is also available on Play Store. It fixes the iOS 8 issues with gallery and pictures.
Audit request can now be resent multiple times in case you need to re-send reminders to custodians to verify possession. We’ve also added options to User Listing (Security Domain) settings to enable finer granularity on Supervisor & Staff access to items.

– Gantt Chart/Detailed Calendar: With Gantt Chart, you’ll be able to view asset usage over time. It’ll enable better planning and utilization of your equipment.
– Improved Listing: We are planning on providing filters with columns in the item listing. Making the whole view distraction free and cleaner.
– Photo Gallery: With the Photo Gallery, you’ll be able to manage all your images in one place and easily associate them to items. It will also be useful when uploading multiple images in a go.
