[How-to] Use the Offline Functionality in EZO Mobile App

Share:

Are you unable to access work orders while working offline? Don’t panic! We’ve got you covered!

EZO has introduced the new offline functionality in the mobile app, enabling field technicians to easily manage work orders with little or no mobile connectivity. Using the offline functionality, technicians can view work orders offline and add work logs for up to 20 work orders.

The app seamlessly switches between online and offline modes, automatically saving the updates. This way, you never lose the work orders you log while working offline.

Benefits of the Offline Functionality

Here’s how the offline functionality helps improve user experience while using the EZO mobile app:

1. Increased productivity

With the offline mobile app feature, technicians can easily access and update work orders offline, even in areas with weak internet connections. This helps maintain the flow of work and ensures that the technicians do not miss out on updating important work order information.

2. Accurate and up-to-date records

Automatic data syncing with the web app ensures that work logs are accurate and up-to-date, helping reduce the risk of errors and data inconsistencies.

3. Enhanced flexibility in operations

Offline access to essential work order details allows technicians to provide consistent and high-quality services in any environment. Whether it’s a remote site or an industrial location, EZO enables teams to operate effectively without connectivity limitations.

Here’s the Mobile App Guide for you to understand better how the EZO mobile app functions.

Using the offline functionality in the EZO mobile app

Let’s help you understand how the EZO offline mobile app works:

Step 1

After signing into your mobile app, go to the Work Orders module and refresh your Work Orders.

Step 2

When no internet connection is available, the app will show, ‘You are now offline.’

Step 3

When using the app offline, go to the Work Orders tab, open any WO, and add a work log against it.

Step 4

Add all relevant details of your work log, including the time spent on the work order, start date and time, return date and time, description, etc., and tap “Add Work Log.”

Step 5

The work log details will be saved offline.

Step 6

When the internet connection is restored, all the work log details for the WO are automatically synced and saved.

Work orders get synced only once a day when the user first logs in to the EZO mobile app.

Note: The offline mode of the EZO mobile app is expected to receive more functionality and updates in future.
