Yes. A custom report starts with a primary module and can include supported related modules, such as assets, locations, custodians, or transfer history. The fields available in later steps depend on those selections. Some modules contain multiple records for one item, so AssetSonar limits how certain multi-association modules can be combined in a single report.
Yes. AssetSonar can add item-level custom fields as report columns and sort reports by supported field types, including text, numbers, and expiry dates. IT teams can use them for organization-specific data such as project codes, cost centers, device tiers, or review dates. Availability depends on the primary module, related modules, and field configuration selected for the report.
Changes made to a custom report are reflected in its linked scheduled report, so the schedule does not maintain a separate editable copy. AssetSonar may keep differing legacy versions separate to avoid accidental data loss. Teams should therefore review recipients, filters, and fields after changing a report used for recurring delivery. AssetSonar allows you to export custom reports as CSV or PDF and send them to connected OneDrive or Dropbox accounts. Its data backup integrations can retain exported reports on configured schedules and retention policies, creating versioned snapshots for audit or recovery. For month-end, audit-close, or baseline comparisons, export and retain a fixed report rather than relying only on a live dashboard.
AssetSonar custom report graphs display up to 200 data entries. When a report contains more entries, additional points are not plotted, and the graph shows a warning. Teams can apply filters to narrow the dataset before visualizing it. The limit applies to graph display, so organizations working with larger analytical datasets should also evaluate exports or a downstream BI workflow that fits according to their unique needs.
